here are a bunch of websites i like or find interesting. this is mostly a bookmarks page for me, but feel free to browse until you find something you like. they're all in alphabetical order, so if you want your site higher up, change your name (says the person last in all lists…)

if the mock adverts aren't up your street, use content blocker / adblocker to block the class .mockvert

as well as the obvious ones (i.e. µblock_o), there are a few lesser known extensions that i recommend, i'll list these on my recommended software page

why is the site description so useless? because i wrote "slanty" as a placeholder for auzzie-jay's site, and it made me giggle so i kept it

these are svg buttons - read more about them here. i do recommend using them, and they require little more setup than a normal .png - however, if you find them too inconvenient, there are normal raster buttons below for your delectation

declaring the dimensions may be necessary (either css or html will do); i recommend not using image-rendering: pixelated; (this shouldn't make a difference, but seems to reduce shimmering); and it will only really render correctly in a browser (e.g. not in gwenview or inkscape)

there's also this which i use for my super-site - i've updated it a few times, it used to look like the green version (but orange), but i've improved it since then (although it's no longer using a completely web-safe palette). the green ver. is only there for posterity
